Welcome to UNYA!

Founded in 1988, the Urban Native Youth Association (UNYA) delivers 20 programs to over 6,500 urban Indigenous youth in Vancouver each year.  Together with our 175+ volunteers, 100 staff and more than 300 community partners, we're training the leaders of tomorrow by helping Vancouver's Indigenous youth explore their personal goals and develop their leadership skills in a fun, safe and healthy environment.

Want to get involved?  Check out our programs and activities pages for more info on our education & training, personal support, live-in, sports & recreation programs, and more.  Each program works with a different age group - find out which one is for you!

We are excited to be working towards building a Native Youth Centre at Hastings & Commercial in Vancouver so that we can expand our programs and services to better serve Indigenous youth. We are working hard with our partners to make this dream a reality. Find out more here.
